Our founder is an environmental engineer and sustainable community advisor. She has decades of expertise managing environmental and sustainability activities for power generating companies and other industries and has managed sustainability, compliance, permitting, and due diligence projects nationwide and internationally. In recent years she has applied this expertise to launching a sustainability advisory service focused on serving communities and cities as these groups have direct impact and "say" in shaping our futures. She also volunteers as a Sustainability Commissioner for the city of Indio; and a Community Steering Committee member for California’s Air Resources Board’s AB617 program in Eastern Coachella Valley.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, a master’s in Business Administration, a graduate certificate in Sustainable Communities, and various professional certifications including - LEED green associate, Sustainability Excellence Associate, and TRUE (zero-waste) Advisor. She is licensed by Florida as a professional engineer.
Anetha is convinced that a joint effort between communities, governments and business will be critical and necessary in ensuring successful actions to address the global climate challenge, and local environmental issues; and that Sustainable SoCal can facilitate these collective efforts on a project-based level.
Dr. Anita Raghavan is our Director of Communications and lead for policy and advocacy. Dr. Raghavan has a PhD. in communications and decades of experience leading non-profit organizations.
Herb Jackson P.G. is our lead for technical issues. He has decdes of experience in government and consulting and an environmental expert.
Halle Mayne is our lead on diversity and inclusion, which is foundational to all services that our team delivers. She is also our chief advsor on emerging issues affecting youth. Halle has a Masters in gender studies and experience supporting law firms, educational instutations, and other organizations.
Hal Rose is our lead for social media. He has and MBA and decades of experience as a project managers. Hal also works with other clients through the Coachella Valley Women's Business Center.
Rounding out our group are interns that join us for a few months to give support and get experience, Fellows that join us for intensive 1-year work periods, and volunteers that join us to support specifc issues that are are important to them.
